The Lodge is ideal for Groups, Tours, Weddings, and
Reunions for the following reasons:
(1) We are located mid-way between Asheville and Boone off the Blue Ridge Parkway, the most beautiful highway in
the world. Grandfather Mountain, Mount Mitchell, Roan Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, The Biltmore Estate,
The Folk Art Center, and the cities of Asheville, Boone and Hickory are all within an hours drive away.
(2) Tour Groups, Reunions, and Individual Guests enjoy our library, piano, card room, billiard room, fireplace lounge,
and spacious grounds. We offer baggage service and a welcoming reception! The lodge grounds offer a 40 mile view
of the Catawba River Valley that is second to none, with rocking chair equipped porches and several well placed
benches for folks to sit and enjoy the scenery. The sunrise in the east coming up over the mountain is breathtaking!

(3) Once the group arrives at the Lodge from a busy day of touring the wonderful area attractions, they can relax
knowing that they will not have to re-board the bus for their meals. We take great pride in our food service. Everything is
home cooked and served at individual tables. We serve no French Fried foods. Our daily breakfast features eggs to
order, waffles, homemade pancakes, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal, juice and coffee and more! Dinner
includes an entrée, three side dishes, dessert, and fresh baked bread. Guest enjoy the magnificent view from our atrium
dining room. Special dietary requests will be honored when possible. We serve modest portions and offer second
helpings.
(4) Big Lynn Lodge is informal. We have 38 rooms plus four suites, ranging from rustic to modern. In addition to regular
motel rooms, we have individual cottages and grouped cottages. The suites have one bedroom with a king bed, living
room, dining room, and full kitchen. All accommodations have porches and private baths. All rooms have cable television
and air-conditioning.
The Lodge sits at an elevation of 3100 feet. When the sun goes down sweaters are usually needed.
